I used to underestimate the power of building a personal brand. Only after experiencing it firsthand did I realize its true potential.

It’s clear to me now that it’s becoming increasingly valuable, especially in today’s competitive landscape.

From job hunting to employers finding you

Before I built my personal brand, finding job opportunities felt like an endless battle.

I had to send out numerous applications and go through nerve-wracking interviews without knowing if I’d get the job.

But since I started sharing my knowledge and building credibility on social media, everything changed.

I no longer have to search for jobs; instead, those attracted by my knowledge seek me out.

They find me through the posts and insights I share, believing that I can bring value to them or their company.

It’s a different feeling when you no longer need to prove yourself constantly because your personal brand does that for you.

A strong personal brand shifts you from a passive to an active stance.

You no longer have to seek recognition; recognition will come to you. This not only saves time and energy but also boosts your confidence and independence in your career.

The AI replacement and why hard skills alone don’t cut it

AI is gradually replacing the technical jobs we once thought only humans could do.

From data analysis to graphic design, AI is taking over more and more technical roles, leading to fierce competition.

Young people are quickly learning and mastering new skills. They can learn programming in a few months, become proficient in digital marketing within a year, and enter the job market with skills that might even surpass those with years of experience.

That’s why having skills alone isn’t enough.

You need something else to stand out – and that’s your personal brand. But there’s one thing AI can’t do: build relationships, create trust, and showcase a unique personality. This is where personal branding becomes indispensable.

When you have a personal brand, you’re recognized not just for your skills but for the unique value you bring.

This helps you not only survive fierce competition but also ensures that you can’t be replaced. Your personal brand affirms your value, a value that no AI or competitor can replicate.

It’s what helps you maintain your prominence and create an unbeatable position in an increasingly competitive and tech-driven job market.

So, what should you do now to become irreplaceable?

Here are two simple yet highly effective steps to get you started:

1. Start sharing what you learn every day

Every day, you learn new things from work, life, or conversations with others.

Don’t keep that knowledge locked in your head. Learn to share it.

For example, if you have a unique perspective on a particular issue, boldly share it on social media or within the community groups you’re part of.

Over time, sharing will become more natural, and eventually, it will become a habit, just like it did for me.

I used to be hesitant when I first started, worrying about what others might think.

But the more I shared, the more I realized that people began to listen and seek me out for the value I provided. That’s the first step to building your personal brand and establishing your position.

2. Spend 30 minutes a day writing and practicing speaking

Taking time to write and practice speaking daily is a crucial part of the personal branding process.

For those who are already working, this can be challenging due to limited time.

But if you can dedicate just 30 minutes a day to writing or speaking practice, you’ll notice significant changes over time.

Initially, this might be tough, like starting any new habit.

But with persistence, writing and speaking will become easier, and eventually, they’ll become an essential part of your daily routine.

Like me, I had to force myself every day at first, but now, writing and speaking have become a joy and a way for me to connect with others.

These are the two things I want to share with you in this article.

That’s all for today. Thank you for reading.
